This is just the latest in the whole saga concerning Brett Favre. This one actually made me laugh. While I never was against him during his entire career, I was never a huge fan either. However, the fact that I cannot turn onto ESPN without hearing the name within a minute is getting quite annoying. I was just curious what everyone's thoughts are on the subject. Favre vs. Packers? Good or bad for football? Is this going to affect his legacy with the Packers or his own legacy? Where, if anywhere will he end up next year? I would just like to hear everyone's opinions on the subject seeing how everyone (football fan or not) seems to have one these days.

That was a good article, and I haven't tuned in to ESPN in awhile.
Favre made a decision and he's making it a "bad" decision with attempts to return. The Packers are doing the right thing by not granting an unconditional release, especially with this recent Vikings news. I was a bit iffy hearing the news at first, but I have to agree with the last line and a comment on that article: Favre will end up doing damage to the league if he starts hopping teams.
He might as well (and probably will) take his chances as a backup QB. He'll get plenty of time to play and not look like a traitor to Green Bay. Being "a man", there's no way he's going to look back to retirement.

he had a great season. Personally, I hope that at 40, I can take a beating like he did against the Saints and still be able to walk.
