The Gang’s League: Week 6

Welcome to the Week 6 recap. The Colts came through with a huge victory, so the losers of Week 6 have something positive to reflect on. Let’s go right to the rundown:
Maurice Jones-Drew got the Week 6 high with 2 TDs: 28 points.
(TGL1 James Thomason | TGL2 Michael Trevino)
[Note: Patrick Cobbs technially won the Week 6 high @ 29 points but is unowned.]Clinton Portis (129 yds, 2 TDs) continues to be a stud (6th highest fantasy score @ 101 points)with the week’s 4th highest: 25 points [tied with Tomas Jones]
(TGL1 Andrew Foster | TGL2 Steven Trevino)Le’Ron McClain, who has scored double digits fantasy points every week was shutdown by the Colts with 2 carries for -2 yards: -2 points
(TGL1 David Ubelhor | TGL2 Matt DeCastra)Tony Romo is out for 4 weeks with a broken pinky. He was not taken out and still managed to make an impact: 26 points.
(TGL1 Michael Foster | TGL2 Lauren Blanc)Manning, who’s highest was 15 points in Week 5, was welcomed back by a lot of fantasy owners. News soon released that Manning had two knee surgeries.: 24 points.
(TGL1 James Thomason | TGL2 Megan Wichman [bench])
Five games were decided in the final few minutes, making for a good Sunday:
Texans 29, Dolphins 28
Vikings 12, Lions 10
Rams 19, Redskins 17
Falcons 22, Bears 20
Cardinals 30, Cowboys 24
I ran into Ben Heck’s Week 6 Recap and you can read more about all the Week 6 games. Great recap from a young ‘un. Will consider linking him weekly.
I promised to have mid-season coverage last week, and due to time limitations, Drew and I have agreed to publish an article for each league. We will run down each team, throw in our highly desired opinions, offer a few predictions for bet placing, and moan about the pains of being League Commissioners. You can expect both articles to appear Saturday, October 18th.
