Take an Audio Drug

I first heard about this from an article snippet of The Cresent (University of Evansville’s weekly paper), and so I did a little research on it. In 1839, Dr. Heinrich Wilhelm Dove discovered binaural beats, sound waves presented to each ear, which which produces a stimuli in the brain. Much more can be read in the following links.

As with anything that can affect the brain, there are people out there that experiment with it. I still have quite a bit of reading to do, but I will post links as I encounter them. If any of you happen to have any binaural experiences, feel free to let me know.

Litmus Mag: Article going in depth about Music, BBs, and I-Doser.
BrainWave Generator: Popular program with BB presets. Shareware version.
I-Doser: One of the leading BB distributers, focuses on drug-named beats. Trial version includes 2 free “doses”.

  1. Well I don’t know if you talked to Mack about it but at one point over the summer either Phil or Andy found this thing called digital drugs. It was the same idea. It is basically an hour of different sound frequencies that make you “high”…like on drugs.
